Jimena de la Frontera
Just half an hour from the coast, the white village of Jimena de la Frontera drapes itself on a hillside overlooking farmland, forest and Gibraltar 40 kms away. On the summit of the hill is its Roman-Moorish castle where archaeological discoveries are still being made. Looking down from the castle the other way, you will see the river Hozgarganta, one of the most ecologically sound rivers of Europe. Edible mushrooms are abundant in the nearby forests as well as rare dragonflies.
With a nearby train link to the famous cities of Ronda, Granada and Algeciras, this White Village is an ideal vacation centre, perfect for biking, hiking and bird watching. There are also some great walks close to town in the Natural Park Los Alcornocales.

How to get to us?
Like any other village of the Serranía de Ronda streets are narrow and curves are sharp. The Hostal is located in the centre of town, the best solution is to park at the Plaza de la Constitutión and walk up (2 minutes).
